For those who list digging for new music as a hobby, the feeling of stumbling upon something magnificent from an artist in the earliest stages of their career, is one we can all agree that is like no other. The raw passion and desire to be heard hasn't been tarnished by the desire to be seen, thus giving us sounds that invoke a number of emotions. The newest gem we've stumbled upon is a young songstress from New York by the name of ilham. Now while she only has a handful of songs on the market, ilham's few releases show glimpses at an artist with tremendous abilities.
A month ago, ilham shared "Say Less", an extremely smooth NiBones produced jam in which she sandwiched an unexpected patch of extremely flow and lyricism between her addictive voice and infectious hook. Her most recent release came about a week ago in the form of the BeatsByLevi produced "Stuck In The Past". Switching up things for the aforementioned track, ilham took control of an ambient instrumental to create a cosmic experience for her listeners. ilham is quickly gaining traction with these two cuts, as "Say Less" not only held the top spot on Spinrilla for a few days, but has reached well over 100,000 streams across various streaming sites. "Stuck In The Past" is quickly on it's way pushing toward the 20k mark in just a few days as well, which is bringing a lot of attention her way. Hopefully these are just the beginning of things to come. Check out some of her work.
