OHGEEZY - Heavy
Although the Shoreline Mafia's reign has been long coming, each member of the group is finally getting the press and recognition they deserve; whcih is why OhGeezy's solo video for "Heavy" felt so damn good to see. The visual had him flexing cash with the squad whilst enjoying their budding glory.
Crash Rarri - Sneak Diss
Rarri is about to play one of his biggest shows to date at this year's Breakaway Fest in Columbus. With his previous work in high circulation across the map, he sent a shot out for those questioning his methods on the Soldado produced banger "Sneak Diss".
Oliver Francis FT. Big Baby Scumbag - Windows Down
This summer has been dominated by feel-good tracks that are easy to vibe to, which is why "Windows Down" from Oliver Francis and Big Baby Scumbag was so damn hard to ignore. The two young artists really cracked the code to make a hit with this one, bringing back those early, early 2000's feels.
DROWNMILI - You're A Lick
Is it really a hot summer if we don't get hit with a cult-like-classic release from New York? This time it comes courtesy of DROWNMILI and his video for "You're A Lick" which features all you could ever want set to a dark VHS inspired theme about catchign someone lacking.
Joei Razook - Out Of The Garden
Like it or not, you're about to see a huge boom in the popularity of Dayton's Joei Razook especially after the release of his debut album. Joei chose July as the token month to release his long awaited visual for "Out Of The Garden", and the angst filled, anti drug masterpiece proved to be extremely impressive.
ATM - LA Wit The Gang
I know you've seen the name before, but keep an eye out for ATM and his low-fi heaters that gain more traction by the day. His latest drop was the already popular "LA Wit The Gang" which featured high tempo bars over an even higher octane instrumental .
Lamont - Not 4 Everyone
We finally have an official timeline for the release of Lamont's "Love Lamont" project, but until then he decided to hold everyone off with a brand new EP titled "Not4Everyone". The Louisiana native has been dropping consistent heat, and this perfectly set the scene for his first true debut.
Denzel Curry - TA13OO
July also brought about a new studio album from Florida's Denzel Curry; which not only showcased the insane amount of growth he's had in his tenure in the game, but also the fact that he is a true student of the music.
Buddy - Harlan & Alondra
Buddy was another tremendous artist that made big waves to kick start the summer with his new album "Harlan & Alondra". Transitioning into different sounds than we've heard on his previous releases, Buddy definitely put together one for the ages.
$teven Cannon - No Hook
The Xanarchy also made a strong appearance with $teven Cannon's energetic visual for "No Hook" directed by Kendal Mathis & Lunar Thought. Cannon's project is on the way too, which is good because his takeover is well overdue.
