When haven't we gotten fire out of the DMV? The tri-state area has birthed some of music's greats across genre's, and it looks like El Cousteau is the area's next big star. Goldlink told BBC radio to keep an eye out for Cousteau not too long ago, and his premonition was accurate as we've just been gifted with Cousteau's new mixtape, "Straight Drop Season". Going hard for 11 new tracks, Cousteau's swagger and wordplay allows him to depict his stories from the streets in a bright and electric manner. Tracks like "Straight Drop Season", "3%" and "Art Basel" show what Cousteau can really do when it comes to creating vibes and rhyme schemes, but the entire project is an extremely dope way to kick start the weekend. You won't be dissapointed in this, check it out.

We've been waiting on this, check it out.
It's official, the controversial West Coast super group Shoreline Mafia has finally inked a deal. Securing the bag and aligning themselves with the legendary label Atlantic Records, the talented group consisting of Ohgeezy, Fenix, Master Kato and Rob Vicious caught the eye and ear of Austin Rice and Orlando Wharton through the use of their high energy tracks and overall charisma as a team. The Mafia is wayyyy out of here, and tracks like "Serve A Boat", "Power Ranger" and "Dirty" from their "SHORLINEDOTHATSHIT" mixtape further separate them from any other up and comers claiming to be in their lane. With Atlantic's marketing expertise and cohesive street efforts of the Shoreline Mafia, we're in store for some great things to happen here shortly.
