Every year, the culture comes together and celebrates the life of one of this generation's biggest influencers, A$AP Yams. Yams played a key roll in developing the careers of many; so it's only right that for the 2018 edition of Yams Day, everyone who he has helped returns the favor and makes this year the biggest yet. Like always, Yams Day will take place on January 18th at the New York Expo Center in the Bronx. However, this year the performance list and guest lists are already ringing in heavier than before, which already has this positioned as the biggest event of the year so far. With the full A$AP Mob, Lil Yachty, Nav, G Perico, Aston Matthews, Retch and Da$h all set to hit the stage, things can only go up when The Cozy Boys and MixedByAli kick off their DJ Sets. Tickets are moving fast, so cop yours here. If you still need a bit of influencing, check out this dope footage of Yams Day 2017.
Just when you thought today couldn't get any more exciting, the A$AP Mob splashes back on the scene. It's been an eventful AWGEST to say the least, with Ferg and Twelvyy dropping albums, and the singles surrounding them. Now, it's time for the whole squad to shine as we get 17 star studded new tracks. Of course, "Cozy Tapes Vol: 2" features A$AP mainstays Rocky, Nast, Twelvyy, Ant and Ferg; but the new AWGE members KEY!, Smooky MarGielaa and Playboi Carti really show promise for the future. With guest verses coming from Gucci Mane, Tyler, The Creator, Quavo, Frank Ocean, Jaden Smith, Lil Yachty, ScHoolBoy Q, Joey Bada$$ and ProEra plus Flatbush Zombies, you'll be jamming to this project for a very long time. Stream the project below.
With the "Cozy Tapes Vol 1: Friends" just a few days away, the A$AP Mob released two more tracks from the tape! The other day as Rocky announced the album was done, not only did he drop off a short film, he also dropped off a track titled "Money Man". Just a couple days later, The Mob blessed us with the tracks titled, "Runner" and "Telephone Calls". The first of the two, "Runner", features Lil Uzi Vert, and A$AP Ant (YG Addie) which has both signature flows that we've come to love from both Ant and Uzi. The second track, "Telephone Calls" features AWGE member Playboi Carti, A$AP Rocky himself, Tyler The Creator and Yung Gleesh to give us one of the most high powered tracks of the year. If you weren't on the edge of your seat for the release of Vol 1 of the Cozy Tapes, these should do the trick. Check em out.
